These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Patchwork Studio, a product of Parallel Play LLC ("Parallel Play," "we," "our," or "us"), available at patchworkstudio.app. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Patchwork Studio. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
You must create an account to access most features. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at support@patchworkstudio.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Patchwork Studio offers a free tier, a paid Maker subscription, and one-time pattern purchases through the Pattern Shop.
Free
Design and save patterns, browse the community. Some features are limited or unavailable on the free tier.
Maker — $8.99 / month
Unlimited saved patterns, make tracking, community comments, bookmarks, and full access to all features. Billed monthly. Cancel anytime. Makers also receive a discount on Pattern Shop purchases.
Pattern Shop — pay per pattern
Curated quilt patterns sold individually. Each purchase grants a license to download the pattern PDF and use it personally — see Section 5 for full license terms. Available to guests and signed-in users alike.
Maker subscription
Maker subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you will retain Maker access until then.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, but we will work with you in good faith if you contact us with a billing concern.
Pattern Shop purchases
Pattern Shop purchases are one-time payments processed through Stripe. You may pay as a signed-in user or as a guest with just an email address; in either case, the purchased license is recorded under that email and made available for immediate download.
All Pattern Shop sales are final. Because patterns are delivered instantly as digital downloads, we do not offer refunds on completed purchases. If you have a problem with a download, a defect in the pattern, or any other concern about your order, please reach out to support@patchworkstudio.app and we'll work with you in good faith to make it right.
When you purchase a pattern from the Pattern Shop, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the pattern PDF — the licensed product is the PDF file itself. Each license is granted to one person and is tied to the email or account used at checkout.

The pattern designer (which may be Parallel Play LLC or a third-party designer) retains the copyright in the pattern itself. What you're purchasing is a license to use it on the terms above — not the copyright.
One license = one person
Each license is personal to the buyer. If you need to buy multiple licenses — for students in a class, members of a guild, or as gifts — please use the appropriate option at checkout. Bulk, instructor, and gift licensing will be supported in the Pattern Shop shortly; the framework is already in place at the license level and the buyer-facing UI is in active development.
You retain ownership of the quilt patterns, makes, photos, and other content you create on Patchwork Studio ("Your Content"). By posting content to the Service, you grant Parallel Play LLC a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute Your Content as necessary to operate and provide the Service.
Content you mark as public may be visible to other users and indexed by search engines. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you upload, including photos and fabric imagery.
We do not use Your Content to train AI or machine learning models.

Patchwork Studio is a creative community for quilters. When sharing patterns, makes, photos, or comments publicly, you agree that your content:
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these standards and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate them. If you see content that doesn't belong, use the Report feature or contact us directly.
Patchwork Studio, its design, features, and underlying software are owned by Parallel Play LLC and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. "Patchwork Studio" is a trademark of Parallel Play LLC.
Fabric collection references
Patchwork Studio references the following fabric collections for design and color inspiration purposes only. All collection names, color names, and associated intellectual property belong to their respective manufacturers. Color values are digitally approximated representations and are not guaranteed to match physical fabric. Patchwork Studio and Parallel Play LLC are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially partnered with any of these manufacturers.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Color and fabric accuracy
Fabric colors displayed in Patchwork Studio are digital representations intended to approximate real-world fabric colors for design purposes only. Actual fabric colors will vary depending on your screen's calibration, brightness, color profile, and manufacturing tolerances of the fabric itself. We make no warranty that colors shown in the app will match the appearance of physical fabric when purchased.
We recommend requesting physical swatches from your fabric retailer before making purchasing decisions based on colors displayed in the app. Parallel Play LLC is not responsible for fabric purchases made in reliance on color representations in the Service.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PARALLEL PLAY LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of North Carolina.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
